This green tea mask is one of the best because it brightens and prevents the appearance of wrinkles. The antioxidants it contains work to delay the signs of aging, thus preserving the freshness and beauty of your skin for a longer period. If you have sensitive skin, try this mask on another part of your body first – such as the wrist – to avoid any complications such as redness.
1 bag of green tea
3 or 4 tablespoons rice flour or oats*
Half a banana or half a mango mashed (to moisturize and lighten the skin)
*Note: If your skin reacts to gluten, be sure to use gluten-free oats.
Boil the tea bag for two minutes. Remove from heat and let the water cool.
Mix the rice flour or oatmeal with three tablespoons of green tea water to get a consistent mixture. Add the mashed banana or mango. (Banana is a good moisturizer while mango cleans the skin and gets rid of dead cells.)
Stir until well mixed.
Spread the mask on clean dry skin and leave for 15 minutes.
Wash your face with cold water, gently rubbing the skin to get rid of dead cells. Follow with your favorite moisturizer.
Note: This mask will help reduce any puffiness, or red or dark circles around your eyes.
1 green tea bag (to reduce puffiness)
1 chamomile tea bag (to reduce redness)
¼ cup hot water
Some cotton balls
Add 2 bags of tea to hot water and let them steep for 10 minutes. Let the water cool a bit, then take the cotton balls and dip them in the tea solution. Wring out any excess.
Put the cotton balls on your closed eyes. Relax for 10 minutes. Repeat as needed.
